Bird Walk: Kendall Indian Hammocks Park

  • Kendall Indian Hammocks Park 11395 SW 79th Street Miami, FL 33173 United States (map)

Join Phoebes Birding, a group of all-female birders who connect women through nature, on a bird walk through Kendall Indian Hammocks Park on February 2nd. Our first bird walk of the year, led by Eliana Ardila Kramer,  will introduce you to our wintering Warblers, Vireos and resident birds that call this beautiful park home. There will be laughs, new friendships and inspiration on  protecting our feathered friends and their habitats. On this walk, you will not only learn about birds but also our native plants and connect with nature. Kendall Indian Hammocks is well known for its network of trails that take you through a section of tropical hardwood hammocks and make you feel tranquil .

We will meet at the parking area at the east end of the ball fields. The walk is open to female birders of any experience level. Come with an open mind, hat, sunscreen, and binoculars. Water and snacks is also recommended. If you have any questions you can send an email to Eliana at birdingbybus@gmail.com.

We look forward to birding with you!
