Virtual Happy Hour: Christmas with the Birds

Grab your favorite cocktail and join the Phoebes on Tuesday, December 15th, via Zoom for a Christmas with the Birds virtual happy hour!

‘Tis the season for Christmas Bird Counts but as with everything in 2020, things just aren’t normal. But why let that stop us? This month we’re hosting a CBC double-header – combining Christmas Bird Counts with Christmas Bird Cocktails (virgin versions welcome). Phoebes Ana Lima and Miriam Avello will kick things off by explaining how your Miami area birding can help make the Miami Christmas Bird Count a success this year. And then let’s bid this crazy year farewell by returning to our roots – connecting women through nature! Share your favorite Christmas Bird Count highlight from the past, your best bird sighting of 2020, your favorite bird-attracting plant, a new-to-you natural history tidbit or any other nature or holiday tale that’s making you smile this year.

We’ve provided a recipe below to one of our favorite Christmas Bird Cocktails, but feel free to bring your own recipe to share, as well as photos to support your stories. Let’s toast to a nature-filled 2021!
