Join us on Global Big Day as Michele Louden leads a walk through the butterfly garden and nature trails at Markham Park. We will search for Burrowing Owls, woodpeckers including Pileated Woodpecker and Northern Flicker, resident Monk Parakeets and migrant songbirds among others.

From I-75, exit at Royal Palm Parkway (Exit 15). Drive west 0.5 miles to Weston Road. Turn right and drive west 2.8 miles to the park entrance.
From I-595, exit at 136 Street (Exit 1A) and drive west 2.0 miles on SR 84 (I-595 service road) to the park entrance.
Meet at the nature trail parking area: Turn left after the entrance station (fee $1.50) park opposite the dog park (GPS: 26.1282520, -80.3613931)
What to Pack: Hat, sunscreen, rain gear and binoculars. (If you don’t have binoculars, there will be some binoculars on loan on a first-come, first-served basis.)
BONUS: Join the Phoebes afterwards for a picnic at the park. Please bring your favorite picnic bites to share!
