Join Michele Louden for an early Spring bird walk at Long Key Natural Area where archaeology, history and ecology converge in one place. We’ll walk the nature trails in search of warblers, night herons, Pileated Woodpecker and wood ducks and then gather for an outdoor picnic.
WHAT: Bird walk for women birders and nature enthusiasts
WHEN: Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM
WHERE: Long Key Natural Area, 3501 SW 130th Ave, Davie, FL 33330 (Meet in the parking area to the right of the pond just after the entrance to the park)
WHAT TO PACK: Hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, rain gear and binoculars. (If you don’t have binoculars, we will be providing optics on a first-come, first-served basis.)
BONUS: Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy after the walk at the outdoor picnic tables.
COVID PROTOCOL: We're expecting a good turn out so we encourage everyone to wear a mask in consideration of your fellow birders. We will follow the CDC guidelines in place at the time of the field trip and we strongly encourage all participants to be fully vaccinated.
