Leticia de mello bueno
Leticia de Mello Bueno studied International Relations at Boston University and later Latin American / Food History and Hospitality at Florida International University. A creative development professional with a couple of Sommelier certifications, she consulted for a variety of distinctive hospitality and gastronomic brands for 15 years and served on the board of local nonprofit groups such as Slow Food Miami and LesDames d'Escoffier. In 2015, Leticia volunteered to host wine dinners to benefit Tropical Audubon Society and fell in love with the historic non-profit. Soon after, she became its Communications Director.
After the 2016 national election, Leticia decided to change career paths and commit to conservation full time. Since, she has lobbied for Everglades Restoration in Washington DC co-founded The Phoebes (tm), an all female group that connects women through nature, launching mid-September 2018.
Leticia believes that good, clean, fair water, food and home is an inalienable right of all creatures.
