Are you ready to spend an enchanting morning surrounded by other enthusiastic nature-loving women? Get to know Miami’s birds in this wildlife-rich suburban park of Kendall! Join trip leaders Miriam Avello and Andrea Diamond with Phoebes Birding on a guided bird walk through Kendall Indian Hammocks Park on Saturday, February 22.
Indian Hammocks is well known for its network of trails through tranquil hardwood hammocks, oak groves, and open spaces. Spot wintering migrants such as warblers and vireos that are joined by our local resident birds that call this beautiful park home. You’ll not only learn about birds, but also get to know some of our native Florida plants and how all nature is interconnected.
We will meet at the parking area at the east end of the ball fields. The walk is open to female birders of any experience level. Come with an open mind, hat, sunscreen, and binoculars. Water and snacks are also recommended.
We look forward to birding with you and sharing a slice of Miami’s nature together.
