Celebrate mother nature on Mother's Day weekend with Phoebes Birding, an all-female birding group. Nurture a budding naturalist or bring your mother on our next guided bird walk – Saturday, May 11th at the Gardens of Crandon Park on Key Biscayne, an important refuel island for migratory birds. We’ll stroll the paved paths in search of warblers, shorebirds, butterflies, lizards and other creatures. Learn how to use binoculars and go on a scavenger hunt on this family outing. Recommended for children ages 5-12. Adult must accompany child. Or bring your mom (no age limit).
WHAT: Bird Walk for female nature buffs of any experience level and children (Recommended ages 5-12).
WHEN: Saturday, May 11, 2019, 9-11AM
WHERE: Gardens of Crandon Park, 6747 Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne, FL. Use the south gate and head to the south end of the parking lot. Meet at 9am at the pond at the entrance to the Gardens near the parking lot. Please note that there is a $7 parking fee on weekends.
What to Pack: Hat, sunscreen, rain gear and binoculars. (If you don’t have binoculars, Leica Store Miami will be providing optics on a first-come, first-served basis.)
BONUS: Join the Phoebes afterwards for a picnic at one of the park’s many beach-side tables. Please bring your favorite picnic bites to share!
