Phoebes Birding, a group of all-female birders who connect women through nature, will be hosting a bird walk at Kendall Indian Hammocks Park on January 19th. The Phoebes are dedicated to providing opportunities for women to enjoy nature in a welcoming, inclusive space.

The walk is open to female birders of any experience level. Come with an open mind, hat, sunscreen, and binoculars. If you don’t have binoculars, Leica Store Miami will be providing optics on a first-come, first-served basis. Kendall Indian Hammocks is well known for its tropical hardwood hammocks that can host a variety of wintering migrant birds such as warblers, vireos, orioles, and other local specialties. There are several walking trails as well as more open areas and fields that can host a wide diversity of wildlife and plants. We will meet at the parking area at the east end of the ball fields.
